About Armine

Mountains

HELLO
THANK YOU FOR VISITING
HERE YOU WILL FIND MORE INFORMATION AB
OUT MY JOURNEY AND MISSION

I am Dr. Armine Movsisyan and my experiences as an immigrant growing up in the US school system is the motivation that fuels my purpose to transform how we learn and develop people and programs to build environments that cultivate climates of possibility.

Schools do not foster the space for learners to understand who they are and who they want to become, rather they focus on what. In turn, graduates enter work environments where their assets and aspirations are unrealized because they are not prepared to meet the demands of the future of work.

I spent two decades inside various schools to transform education such that we prepare students for their future, not our past. As I uncovered the methods to design and build such programs and environments, I took those findings and applied it to the workplace as well.

It brings me great joy to support people and programs as they articulate their vision, support them in designing systems that bring their visions to life, and make work a place people look forward to going to.

How we co-create environments and cultivate teams makes all the difference.

WHERE MY JOURNEY BEGAN

What made me feel unprepared at each phase on my road became the inspiration behind where I wanted to apply my energy to make an impact in transforming what does not work.

When I was in high school, what drove me to majoring in history was the desire to unearth unheard voices who faced great adversity and injustices, whose stories remained unseen. When I got to college, I remember thinking to myself “why didn’t we learn this in school,” as each experience made me question how programs and culture are designed.

As I entered the professional realm, I wondered how we can cultivate environments where people can grow, achieve their goals, and bring the company vision to life all while looking forward to getting to do that work. After all, shouldn’t the places we go on our journey be places we enjoy being at and have the tools necessary for the road? Navigating this journey was even more challenging in a world that faces constant change, and if you don’t have the tools your compass will send you in the wrong direction. Whether it be schools or workplaces, my purpose is to create a toolbox for all and cultivate environments of possibility.

My mission evolves at each phase of my journey.

Currently, my mission is to:

Cultivate teams that can create for tomorrow.

Where people can acquire the skills and habits of mind they will need to bring the vision to life and hone in on the adaptability required to meet the needs of the future.

I began as a high school social science teacher, became Head of School. From there I continued to more administrative roles as Principal, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, and Academic Director as I taught courses in teacher education. Thereafter, I became the Coordinator of Innovative Learning and School Design where I coached educators, and designed and implemented programs that prepare learners for the future and conducted workshops for companies with the same purpose.

My education includes:

Leadership Institute - Harvard

Principals Institute - UCLA & UC Berkeley

Doctorate in Educational Leadership - USC

Project Management - Google

MA in History - UC Irvine

BA’s in Global Cultures and History - UC Irvine

WHERE I AM NOW

I support executives and educators in the cultivation of their environment and creation of their programs by taking an active role via workshops for learning and development. These workshops give teams the tools they need to bring their vision to praxis and cultivate environments of possibility and trust. My goal is to build a toolbox for teams to use continually that is equipped with the mindsets and skills to address any obstacle that presents itself, together.

The methods I use evolved from learner-centered practices and Bronfenbrenner’s ecological system model to develop an approach that addresses the needs of all people and organizations. This framework empowers teams with the skills to solve complex challenges and opportunities as they co-create constructive spaces.
