In this series, I will share various stories which represent voices that have been silenced.
Two major ranges that will be featured in Voices include:
1. From the Playground
2. From the Holy Mountains
Voices from the Playground will include stories I have documented about violence in schools through the eyes of students, based on my dissertation entitled, “Students Perceptions of School Interventions to Reduce Violence.“
Voices from the Holy Mountains will entail stories from various ethnic groups and minorities that were gathered from my journey in the form of an auto-ethnography.
To protect the privacy and confidentially of each person or group, I will refer to them in pseudonyms, per their request.
The aim is to create a platform from which the voices of individuals and groups who have been systematically oppressed to be heard, can soar, and be remembered.
My hope is to inform posterity so that we can make changes that improve systems and instutions such that no one has these kinds of stories to tell in the future, thereby make our world a better place to live in.
